We are constructing a rich 6-day World Council programme, which will kick off with essential governance matters on Sunday 19 July, followed by a World Cup Final watch party for everyone.

The Welcome Ceremony will take place on the morning of Monday 20 July, along with a keynote address, reports, and governance. Tuesday will offer excursions to visit projects and sites in and around Toronto.

Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday are the days when - joined by international partners - we will address key global questions that demand transformation, adaptiveness, and creative, collaborative solutions. Aligned to the four Pillars of YMCA Vision 2030, these questions cover all the challenges of Community Wellbeing, Meaningful Work, Sustainable Planet, and Just World.

This programme will keep growing and changing as we get closer to the World Council, with more details and updates added along the way.

Excursions

On Tuesday 21 July, World Council takes to the streets!

This second full day of the conference invites delegates to step beyond the main venue and into the energy of the Greater Toronto Area. Picture a day filled with discovery, as you explore the city’s dynamic neighborhoods, iconic landmarks, and rich cultural tapestry. Savor global flavours, connect with local stories, and immerse yourself in the heart of one of Canada’s most diverse communities.

Excursion options will be released in January 2026, and with limited spaces available, selections will open on a ‘first-come first-served’ basis through the registration portal. Mark your calendars and get ready to claim your adventure!
