Registration update

Registration for World Council 2026 is now CLOSED, including the wait list system operated at end-May and early-June. Delegates may only modify their registration details until 22:59 UTC (Universal Time Coordinated) on Sunday 21 June.  Guest room allocations - including which hotel you will be staying at - will be sent out from 30 June onwards. What’s included in your registration fee

The registration fee includes: 

  • All meals from Dinner on Sunday 19 July 2026 through to the final Dinner on Friday 24 July 2026 

  • Transport from the airport to Toronto city centre 

  • Up to 6 nights accommodation at either the Sheraton or Marriott Hotels in downtown Toronto, from Sunday 19 July 2026 to Friday 24 July 2026. Note: National General Secretaries (NGS) and voting delegates will also receive Saturday 18 July accommodation as well as breakfast and lunch on 19 July. 

  • Excursions (single occupancy) 

  • Full World Council programme 

The registration fee does NOT include international travel.

Costs are for single occupancy rooms. Rooms with two or more beds are limited, and are therefore being prioritised for subsidised delegates.

  • Yes. There will be an option at registration for delegates to choose higher class rooms or suites for payment of an additional fee.

  • National and Local YMCAs will be able to make block bookings of Early Bird registrations. They will then be issued with a unique code which can be applied by their delegates during registration to link the booking with the Early Bird payment received. Please contact worldcouncil@ymca.int to make this request. 

  • No, the discounted rate for these groups are only available prior to 19 December 2025. After that, all delegates will pay the Standard rate. World YMCA’s Travel Subsidy Policy will remain in effect. See details below. 

  • You will automatically receive your official invoice by email once you register. If someone else is paying for you (your National Movement, local YMCA, organisation, or partner), forward them the invoice and follow up to ensure payment. Additional details will be available in the registration confirmation email you will receive. 

  • YMCA Canada is excited to announce they have secured Air Canada as the official Canadian Airline Sponsor. If you are planning to fly with Air Canada, you can find the discount code on the confirmation page when you register. 

  • When you register, the confirmation email will include a visa registration package along with instructions on how to apply. More details can be found on the Visa Information page.  

  • Please check your email SPAM or quarantined emails before contacting World YMCA. Your confirmation email will come from worldcouncil@ymca.int. The email is sent out by the Cvent system once your registration is confirmed.

  • Where registration is paid and you can provide proof that your visa application has not been approved before 19 June 2026, a full refund may be made. Please note that refunds and registration transfers are subject to administrative approval and may be limited. In the event of cancellation or no-show, administrative fees may apply. Please note that if you opt to pay by credit card, payment fees will not refunded.

Subsidies

Following its Travel Subsidy Policy, World YMCA offers travel subsidies for two representatives for a YMCA National Movement which meets the eligibility criteria.   This policy does not include Change Agent subsidies, which are dealt with separately through direct communication with eligible individuals.

To meet the travel subsidy criteria, any YMCA National Movement listed in Group 2 or Group 3 of the Travel Subsidy Policy must have paid all outstanding debts with World YMCA by 31 January 2026.  Any National Movement that is suspended or not in good standing regarding outstanding debts will not be eligible for a travel subsidy.  

Participants eligible for subsidies are limited to two per country (including voting members) for full members, one for associate members, and none for related members.

Subsidised delegates need to register for World Council by 31 January 2026. Subsidies will not be available after this date.

Travel subsidies must be for YMCA National Movement voting delegates, and will consist of:

Group 2 countries

  1. Flights booked through World YMCA for travel to and from Toronto. 

  2. No subsidy for registration fee, food or accommodation.  Total cost: CAD 3150 per person. 

Group 3 countries

  1. Flights booked through World YMCA for travel to and from Toronto. 

  2. Food and Accommodation costs. 

  3. In line with the Policy, the registration fee and standard visa costs are not covered.  Total registration cost: CAD 850 per person. 

  4. Discount codes for two subsidised delegates will be issued to each eligible Group 3 YMCA National Movement that meets the Travel Subsidy Policy.  The discount code will reduce the final registration fee to CAD 850. 

Please note that - to minimise costs - World YMCA will aim to book all eligible subsidised flights no later than 17 April 2026. Travel bookings after 17 April 2026 will only be made in exceptional circumstances.
