World Council 2026 will elect World YMCA Officers and Executive Committee members for the period 2026 to 2030, and vote on key policies. Candidate submissions closed on 19 September 2025.

World YMCA announces 2026 election candidates for Officers and Executive Committee members
The Election Committee of the World YMCA has announced the candidates for the 2026 elections, which will be conducted at the 21st YMCA World Council in Toronto on 21 July 2026.
A President, Deputy President, Treasurer and 11 Executive Committee members from 7 regions will be elected.
The candidates are as below, and their written and video testimonies can be viewed in the World YMCA 2026 elections nominations handbook (19 May 2026). The Handbook also sets out the roles and responsibilities for the positions to be filled.
The Handbook is currently available in English, Spanish and French.
On 8 July 2026 we held an information webinar in which the five candidates for World YMCA ‘Officer’ positions on the Executive Committee were able to present themselves and take questions.
